A (Quick to make!) Mini Book!

Yes, I still scrap a LOT.
I've done several things, but I'm just sharing one today!

I went to a baby shower not too long ago for a cute young girl.
This was her first baby!  A BOY.
cHaRLiE
I had to really hurry... I made it after work, in about 2 hours!
Luckily... I keep collections together in plastic folders!
I found one I had won at Craft Warehouse several years ago (5?),
that is by My Mind's Eye.
The Laundry Line Collection... "Natural".
I used the embellies from this collection also,
along with a few other items I had.

And here it is!
I LOVE the 6x12" size mini...
so one can just pop in their 4x6 photos.
So I cut 6x12 bases from chipboard... and covered 'em with paper.

The cover is an acrylic sheet... with the 'Charlie' on it.
(protects the book a bit)

Here it is OPEN.

and DETAILS!

Just another pix with ribbon I added to the binding coils.
(The ribbon is dyed seam binding, that I have used before)

Inside the front cover:

Details:

I wanted room for lots of photos,
thus the little flip 'book' below.

Yeah... I know this pix is [really] blurry.  But it's the only pix I have!
Don't worry, following are two [clear] photos of the single pages.

Details (of the blurry pages)
And yes, the round embellie turns.  I added a cardstock circle to the back with the brad... then glued just the cardstock to the page!

The next pages:

This was all so fast and EASY!  Yet, so CUTE!

The last set of pages.

and DETAILS:

I stitched the triangles on some raffia,
then attached it with the little pins!

And lastly, the back of the book.
All the pages were just the paper (no chipboard).
My Mind's Eye paper is so heavy duty,
they work perfectly as stand alone pages!

...and that's all friends!

An AMAZING Pirate Girl!!!

Yes.  I've been NOT doing this blogging like I should.
And YES.  I've been still DOING a LOT of projects!
Sometimes I drive myself a bit crazy...
but you know what?
I'm much HAPPIER when I do [lots of] stuff!
So I DO.

First... I want to share with you this amazing Pirate Girl.
My [creative] daughter helped on this project.
A family that lives near her, go to San Diego every year,
and participate in a fantastic multi-family
PIRATE ADVENTURE!
They wanted an over the top pirate outfit for their daughter, Lauren.
You will see an outfit that will thrill you!!!

Kari is the EYE of this.
She is SO CREATIVE and so good at putting THINGS together!
She can really SEE the end result.
She went to local thrift stores and found the base pieces.
I did all the sewing, altering, and the bloomers.
The STAR of these photos is LAUREN!
She is so cute, and just 10 years old!!!

Are you ready???

Notice all the FUN authentic looking details.
No 'silly' costumey piratey things here.

I even altered the bandana to work 'right'.

Notice the authentic looking brooch!
It's so realistic.

Diamonds are a girl's best friend???
Shows that she's quite the successful pirate!

\

Details of the skirt area.

She flaunts her treasures... no one gets in her way!!!
Don't 'cha wonder what that key is to?

 The bloomers!

Don't you love the striped socks with the bloomers and boots?
Isn't the detailed top skirt intricate and detailed?

Notice all the tulle under the pink skirt?
Yes, I added all of it!

I made the 'leather' bag... it too, contains DIAMONDS!!!

Just details.
The vest I remade... so that it LACED UP!

Here's Kari (my daughter)... helping Lauren with a pose.

 WOW!
Isn't she amazing???

 What a cutie.

And last, but not least...
the BACK of the outfit!

Where do I start?

I'm finally back.  With my printer working with my computer again.
Thanks to my [amazing] Home Teacher!
Even though I've not done any blogging,
we have been super busy, thus the 'where do I start?'.
So I suppose I'll start where I left off,
and share the bunnies with y'all.

This was my 'mantel shelf' for Easter.

This is the BANNER!
I made it with muslin, cut out the triangles,
then punched out some paper circles...
sprayed the back with quilter's basting spray...
and spray painted 'em!
Then stitched 'em onto seam binding.
Gave it to Kari, my daughter.
'Cause she LOVES banners!

It changed quick, 'cause too many bunnies made me crazy!
LOL
Plus I sold some, so that thinned it out quickly too.
So, in addition to the bunnies on the previous posting
we have/had these:

This one is SOLD

Details:

This one is 13.5" tall, and is $25

Details:

This one is 12" tall and is $25

This one is 18" tall and is $25

And last, but not least is this cutie:
I'm keeping 'him'.

I updated the previous posting with prices/sold if you are interested.
Just send me a note...if you are... and I'll get back to you!

I've lots more to share,
so will try my best to get it all on blogger quick!

Problems here... ~sigh~

Hello my friends!
Yep, I've been having lots of problems.
Geesh.
Now my printer that I put my SD card in from my camera...
won't connect with my computer.
That's just ONE of my 'problems'.
Hence, though, NO postings.
I just can't do it without photos!

Although... I will share a photo or two with you,
of what I managed to transfer over before all my troubles!

This was going to be a cool post BEFORE Easter.
Sharing with you, some darling bunnies
my hubs cut for me, and I painted.
I even had/have lots of extras to SELL.
BUT.
It came to an abrupt halt... for without photos... you can't show!
But I do have these few photos!
I'll show all of it later... very late for Easter...

This one is a little semi-carved Bunnie.
It's $15 and is 4.75" tall and 4" wide.

The next three are the 'same'...yet different 'finishes'.
I put the little paper 'ruler' behind to give an idea how big they are.

My good friend here in AZ claimed this polka dot bunnie.
SOLD

This one has a bit more 'carved' look...
and a different painted style.
Because of the dimensional carving on it, it's $25.

This was the last picture I managed to upload to the computer.
I was playing around with some embossing on burlap...
thinking I'd try to 'win' some of Tim Holtz' goodies.
But... as you know... no photos, no... nothing.

This little guy is $15

So there you have it.
Meanwhile... we have been super BUSY!
I have so much to share... never a 'dull' moment around here.
My hubs and I have been doing a bunch of changes on our house.
Making it cottage looking and cute.
Our friend will be coming over soon, to hopefully restore my
picture uploading ability... and 'cleaning up' my poor computer.
Sadly, I'm just ignorant when it comes to the internal workings of computers!  Usually I leave all that to my youngest son, who is in Oregon... far far away from me.
