A NEW (to me) favorite scrapper!

I forget how I 'found' this girl...

OH MY GOSH... she is amazing!

love her layouts and style...

and!!!

She has $2 online classes... YES!  Just $2!

And I'm telling you, they are well worth every penny!

I've 'bought' the first four...

and actually done the first two...

and they make me:

'HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY'

And here is MY version of the class!!!

I used some paper that I've had for awhile...

that just happened to work for the class...AND the photos!

(lucky me)

 

 I had a LOT of photos... 

So I made the main photo into a little flip album:

And I added the little 'mini book' right behind it...it's glued on!!!  

 I used my Bind It All to attach a little 1/2"spiral to bind the photos.

 Heidi shows you how to make the CUTE flower!

 Peek inside the mini book:

 It's about our grand-daughter... and a hike we went on,

when she was 2... and she kept looking for 'frower's'.

  

 THEN, I just finished the 2nd class!

LOVE LOVE LOVE it too!

Heidi is 'famous' for her layers and layers of papers.

I LOVE paper too... so this has been GREAT fun for me!

(especially out here... in 'nowhere town'... with NO scrapping stores!)

And, as a bonus... she 'helps' with COLORS!

She has 'made' me step out of my normal zone...

Wooden Calendar Holder

I saw a calendar holder on Pinterest that I fell in love with.

(I don't know how to show images from PINTEREST... but here's my version.)

OK. Now for mine!

I had hubs make it for me.

(he hates it, I think, when I do wood cutting myself... that's ok!)

 

I have it sitting on my [NEW!] kitchen chair rail ledge...

that I haven't shown you yet. 

(You will LOVE it... it's all made of UPcycled materials!!!)

A close-up of the calendar:

(I make all my stuff in Microsoft Publisher)

I made the calendar BASE...

which I will reprint for EACH month.

I left the top empty... so I could PLAY!!!

I WISH I had a jar full of Washi Tape... 

but since I don't, I just used a bunch of summery papers...

for the background.

Over the top... I put an [old] flower trim by Bazzill...

and added the eyelets to brighten it up in a fun way!

This was SO FUN and QUICK to do!

Love It!!!

I can't wait to do more months...

(hopefully I can keep up.  Actually I have a motivator: I use it to put my work hours on it!)

A (Quick to make!) Mini Book!

Yes, I still scrap a LOT.

I've done several things, but I'm just sharing one today!

I went to a baby shower not too long ago for a cute young girl.

This was her first baby!  A BOY.

I had to really hurry... I made it after work, in about 2 hours!

Luckily... I keep collections together in plastic folders!

I found one I had won at Craft Warehouse several years ago (5?),

that is by My Mind's Eye.  

The Laundry Line Collection... "Natural".

I used the embellies from this collection also,

along with a few other items I had.

And here it is!

I LOVE the 6x12" size mini...

so one can just pop in their 4x6 photos.

So I cut 6x12 bases from chipboard... and covered 'em with paper.

The cover is an acrylic sheet... with the 'Charlie' on it.

(protects the book a bit)

Here it is OPEN.

Just another pix with ribbon I added to the binding coils.

(The ribbon is dyed seam binding, that I have used before)

I wanted room for lots of photos,

thus the little flip 'book' below. 

 Yeah... I know this pix is [really] blurry.  But it's the only pix I have!

Don't worry, following are two [clear] photos of the single pages.

And yes, the round embellie turns.  I added a cardstock circle to the back with the brad... then glued just the cardstock to the page!

This was all so fast and EASY!  Yet, so CUTE!

I stitched the triangles on some raffia,

then attached it with the little pins! 

And lastly, the back of the book.

All the pages were just the paper (no chipboard).

My Mind's Eye paper is so heavy duty, 

they work perfectly as stand alone pages! 

...and that's all friends!

An AMAZING Pirate Girl!!!

Yes.  I've been NOT doing this blogging like I should.

And YES.  I've been still DOING a LOT of projects!

Sometimes I drive myself a bit crazy...

but you know what?

I'm much HAPPIER when I do [lots of] stuff!

So I DO.

First... I want to share with you this amazing Pirate Girl.

My [creative] daughter helped on this project.

A family that lives near her, go to San Diego every year,

and participate in a fantastic multi-family

PIRATE ADVENTURE!

They wanted an over the top pirate outfit for their daughter, Lauren.

You will see an outfit that will thrill you!!!

Kari is the EYE of this.

She is SO CREATIVE and so good at putting THINGS together!

She can really SEE the end result.

She went to local thrift stores and found the base pieces.

I did all the sewing, altering, and the bloomers.

The STAR of these photos is LAUREN!

She is so cute, and just 10 years old!!!

No 'silly' costumey piratey things here.

I even altered the bandana to work 'right'.

 I made the 'leather' bag... it too, contains DIAMONDS!!!
